A Pennsylvania man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly killing his father and displaying his decapitated head in a YouTube video that has since been removed from the platform, authorities said.
Justin Mohn, 32, was arrested on suspicion of first degree murder, abuse of a corpse and possessing an instrument of crime with intent, according to court documents.
Mohn allegedly killed his father, Michael Mohn, whom he described in the YouTube video as a longtime federal employee. Mohn could be seen in the video holding up his father’s head inside a bloody bag.
“He is now in hell for an eternity as a traitor to his country,” Mohn says in the video, titled “Mohns Militia – Call to Arms for American Patriots. Mohn ranted about President Joe Biden, far-left woke mobs, migrants, the LGBTQ community, and Black Lives Matter.
In the video, Mohn declared himself the commander of militias in the U.S., and calls for the public executions of various federal employees including IRS agents, FBI agents, U.S. Marshals, judges, and others for betraying their country.
The 14-minute video was posted at around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
According to a statement from the Buck’s County District Attorney’s Office, the victim’s wife called police to report the murder at around 7 p.m.
The Middletown Township Police Department responded to the residence on the 100 block of Upper Orchard Drive and found Michael Mohn dead in the bathroom. Justin Mohn was not at the home, and had left the area in his father’s vehicle. He was taken into custody about 100 miles away in Fort Indiantown Gap, near Harrisburg, shortly before 11:30 p.m.
The DA’s office said the investigation was active and ongoing.
