A van transporting tanks of oxygen exploded in the Italian city of Milan on Thursday, injuring the driver and spreading fire to nearby vehicles.
A video shared by Twitter user @paolabottelli shows a plume of black smoke rising from the Porta Romana neighborhood in the distance. The fire spread from the transport van to nearby vehicles, and blew out windows on nearby buildings, per reports.
Children were safely evacuated from a nearby school, per reports. Firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control, and the vans driver, who sustained minor injuries, was the only reported casualty.
According to Milan Mayor Giuseppe Sala, foul play has been ruled out. The fire reportedly began in the vans engine compartment, and the driver was injured while trying to prevent the flames from reaching the explosive oxygen tanks.
