The Metropolitan Police in Washington, D.C., on Thursday released a video and still images showing a person of interest in the shooting death of a teenager at the Moechella music festival on June 19. The event was held in the area of 14th and U streets Northwest in honor of the Juneteenth holiday. Prior to the shooting, a large fight fight was broken up at about 6:30 p.m., Metropolitan Police Chief Robert Contee said in a briefing at the time. A secondary incident caused a stampede, which prompted police to shut down the event. The shooting occurred at approximately 8:48 p.m., according to police. Chase Poole, 15, died on the scene, while three adults had non-life-threatening injuries. The incident was captured by nearby surveillance cameras. The video shows a man wearing a black hoodie with a white design, black pants and white sneakers. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward or submit an anonymous tip.
