Woman Steals Dachshund from Maryland Porch. (Related video available on TMX) – District Heights, MD
Police in Maryland are searching for a suspect captured on video stealing a dog from outside a home earlier this month.
A surveillance video released by the Prince Georges County Police Department shows a woman approaching a home on Foster Street in District Heights at around 5:35 a.m. on March 6. The dog on the porch, a 5-year-old female dachshund named Canela, can be heard barking as the woman comes near.
The woman bends down and tells Canela to sit. Canela barks and growls at her, but the woman continues coaxing her.
According to police, the woman took Canela from the porch, and a second suspect is believed to be involved.
A photo shared by police shows a clear image of Canela. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward or submit an anonymous tip.
