A crew of land surveyors in North Carolina spotted two miniature horses running loose and jumped into action to corral them, officials said.
The City of Greensboro shared a video on Facebook on Tuesday that showed members of a city surveying crew gaining control of one of the two escaped mini horses in the area of Vandalia Road and Vandalia Elementary School.
If you work on one of the Citys surveying crews, you can count on spending a good part of the day outside and working in different parts of the city. But you cant count on always finding two miniature horses running through a neighborhood, the city wrote alongside the video.
While tracking down loose livestock isnt in their job description, Kyle Chrismon, Mike McMasters, and Brent Young knew they needed to act when they saw the horses running free, the city said.
The crew alerted the horses’ owner, and together they apprehended the wayward animals.
So kudos to Kyle, Mike, and Brent for horsing around, the city said. Thanks to their quick thinking (and courage!), they helped a resident and her horses, while keeping the steeds off a well-traveled roadway.
