Power was restored early Wednesday to more than 2,000 customers near Cincinnati, Ohio, after a fire at a power substation in Anderson Township.
The fire broke out around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the power substation near Markley and Dunn roads. The bright fire lit up the sky with strobing flashes of green and yellow that could be seen for miles around.
A video shared by Twitter user @jaimecastleOH shows bright flashes of green, blue, red, and yellow in the sky over the Mount Washington neighborhood in East Cincinnati.
Markley Road was closed temporarily while the Anderson Township Fire Department extinguished the fire. Duke Energy is investigating the cause of the fire.
