Los Angeles Police are searching for suspects after two people were killed and at least five others were injured in a shooting Sunday in San Pedro, in Southern California, authorities said.
The shooting occurred shortly before 4 p.m. at Peck Park, where there was a car show being held, along with a softball game and other activities. Police say there were around 500 people in the park at the time of the shooting.
In a press conference Sunday evening, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson said a total of seven people were transported from the scene with injuries, ranging in age from 23 to 54 years old. Two of those people died at the hospital.
According to police, there were likely multiple shooters. No arrests have yet been made. Police are asking anyone with information to come forward or submit an anonymous tip.
