Two people are dead in addition to the suspected gunman after a shooting at a Safeway supermarket in Bend, Oregon, on Sunday.

A video shared by Twitter user @Janies_Child shows law enforcement vehicles rushing to the scene. In the videos caption, they wrote they were on their way home from camping when they were held up by all the police vehicles “flying by.” There were so many, they thought it “has to be an active shooting situation.”nnThe shooting occurred at around 7 p.m. Police believe the male shooter came from a nearby residential area and fired shots in the parking lot and at a Costco before entering the west entrance of the Safeway, Bend Police Chief Mike Krantz said in a press conference Sunday night.

The shooter allegedly shot one person near the entrance. That person was transported to the hospital where they were pronounced dead.

The suspect then allegedly continued through the store, shooting and killing another person and injuring a third. Krantz said police “heard shots” when they entered the Safeway, but found the shooter dead with an AR-15 style rifle and a shotgun nearby.

Krantz said police did not fire any shots at the scene. The names of the victims have not yet been released.
