A manhunt was underway in Colorado Tuesday after three people were killed and one was injured in a shooting Monday that stemmed from a suspected property dispute, authorities said.
The Custer County Sheriff’s Office responded at 12;59 p.m. Monday to a report of a shooting at 173 Rocky Ridge Road, about eight miles north of Westcliffe, near the wooded property line. The Fremont County Sheriffs SWAT arrived on the scene about 20 minutes later.
Authorities found four victims who were shot. Two males and one female were deceased, and one injured female was transported to a hospital in critical condition, but was expected to survive, according to the Custer County Sheriff’s Office. The identities of the victims were not released.
Custer County Sheriff Rich Smith issued a shelter-in-place order while authorities searched for the suspect, identified as Hanme K. Clark. Clark was still at large when Smith lifted the shelter-in-place order shortly after 8 p.m. Monday.
Investigators say the shooting began as a suspected property dispute.
Clark is driving a White Ram 1500 pickup truck with a topper, bearing Colorado license plate BHLK27, the sheriff’s office said.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident or Clark’s whereabouts to call 911.
