A lost dog roaming along Interstate 710 in East Los Angeles Wednesday night was rescued after being spotted by drivers.
The California Highway Patrol said officers responded to the area and safely got the husky into their patrol vehicle. They took the dog to their office for food and water overnight.
Photos shared by CHP East Los Angeles show two officers with the rescued husky. The Monterey Park Police Department on Thursday morning assisted in taking the husky to the Southeast Area Animal Control Authority (SEAACA) in Downey.
“If this is your dog, please contact SEAACA,” CHP wrote alongside the photo on Facebook.
