Eagle-eyed agents at Huntsville International Airport in Alabama spotted a weapon disguised as a Sharpie fine point marker on Feb. 25, according to the Transportation Security Administration.
A photo shared by TSA Gulf shows the cleverly concealed weapon next to a real Sharpie pen.
“Yes, our officers are well trained and alert to find threats that could be camouflaged as an everyday object,” TSA Gulf tweeted alongside the photo. “Our ⁦@TSA officers @FlyHSV stopped this stabbing tool in a refashioned marker.”
TSA spokesperson Sari Koshetz said the marker contained a “full length spike of fiberglass with a sharp tip.”
