A California family has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery and sheriffs deputies say they also seized drugs from their home.
The Tulare County Sheriffs Office served a search warrant Tuesday at a home in Terra Bella, about 45 miles north of Bakersfield, in connection with an armed robbery at C&F Market on Feb. 4. A 17-year-old boy was arrested for the robbery.
The boy, whose name was not released, was also “found in possession of a loaded, unregistered pistol, cocaine packaged for sale and gang paraphernalia,” according to a statement from the sheriffs office.
Authorities said about one pound of cocaine and about 1,000 counterfeit “M-30” pills “believed to contain fentanyl” were found in a common area of the home.
The boys mother, 47-year-old Maria Alfaro-Correa, was arrested for child endangerment and maintaining a home for narcotics sales, along with her adult son, 22-year-old Jesus Correa, and her boyfriend, 32-year-old Ulises Avila-Abrego.
A 12-year-old girl residing at the home was placed in the custody of Child Welfare Services, the sheriffs department said.
