Elderly Florida Man With Cane Jailed For Alleged Bank Robbery

A 75-year-old Florida man was arrested Friday for allegedly robbing a bank, and is being held in jail on $130,000 bond, according to jail records.
Randall Digsby allegedly walked into a Synovus Bank at 125 W. Romana Street in Pensacola at around 9:47 a.m. on Friday, with his walking cane and armed with a knife, Pensacola Police Department spokesperson Officer Mike Wood told the Pensacola New Journal.
He made off with a small amount of money but was apprehended minutes later outside the bank. There were no injuries in the robbery, and the stolen cash was recovered.
According to Escambia County jail records, Digsby was charged with first-degree robbery with a weapon and third-degree aggravated assault, both felonies. He remained in jail Monday on $130,000 bond.
