At least one person is dead and three others injured in an active shooting Wednesday afternoon in Atlanta, Ga., and the suspect is still at large, police said.
The Atlanta Police Department responded to a report of an active shooter in the area of 1110 W. Peachtree Street at around 12:30 p.m. Those in the area were advised to secure their buildings and shelter in place.
As of 1:30 p.m. police said no additional shots had been fired since the initial shooting, but that the suspect was still at large.
Three people were transported to the hospital with injuries, and one person was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Police released surveillance images of a man believed to be the shooter, identified as 24-year-old Deion Patterson, and asked anyone with information about the suspect or his location to call 911.
“The suspect is believed to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached,” police said.
